In this PDF presentation we show the idea of Wiles' proof of the Fermat's Last Theorem. The theorem says that if a triple is a solution to the equation , for , then .
In the first part we present a proof of a special case . Then, some basic definitions from the theory of elliptic curves follow and the rest is about Wiles' proof. This part is not perfect, but we hope that it illustrates the main idea of the proof and gives some knowledge about the basic notions.
